Ryan Wach is a mechanical engineer and inventor based in Southern California. His work has included ride systems, themed entertainment, product development and engineering leadership.

Engineering and invention

He spent most of his career in early design and development. At Walt Disney Imagineering, Ryan worked in Ride Engineering, R&D, and Animatronics. His work included mechanical design, experimental development and leading engineering teams on themed-entertainment projects.

His independent projects include Turbo Tree Stand, the patented Pocket Anchor stake-pocket utility system, and a patented adjustable box-end wrench, among others. Some are commercial products; others remain inventions in development or licensing.

Beyond engineering

He also builds and modifies cars, makes furniture and artwork, photographs architecture and landscapes, cooks for friends and family, and explores the outdoors. An Eagle Scout, he’s been finding reasons to get outdoors ever since. His writing includes the published book The World Needs More Middle Children and work on a memoir.
